It is said that the Pandavas went on to build the Kedarnath shrine. You can see their references in the carvings on the exterior walls of the mandir. Adi Shankara later went on to build a bit more around the temple. Legends say that the Pandava brothers seeked lord Shiva in repentance for having massacred their own kin. Shiva, not willing to forgive their sins, hid himself in Guptkashi. As you make your way to Guptkashi, you’ll pass through Devprayag and Rudraprayag, which offers breathtaking views of the river Alaknanda & Mandakini.

Many locals have arranged their livelihood towards making the kedarnath trip comfortable for travellers, so you’ll find a copious amount of shops and stalls on the trip. You can enjoy hot Maggi and tea in numerous places along the trip. Occasional medical shops can be found on the way with stores of oxygen if needed. The Kedarnath tour package goes on for 4 days and 3 nights with comfortable accommodation arrangements in hotels on a sharing basis. The Kedarnath Yatra is usually from Haridwar to Haridwar. The first day of the Kedarnath tour involves a 8-9 hour drive to the above mentioned Guptkashi, now we already know what it’s famous for. Upon arrival, you can visit the ArdhNarishwar Temple & take part in the prayers. A good night’s rest is necessary for the next day which will be quite eventful. A big day lies ahead.

The day 2 of the Kedarnath package involves a 30km drive and 19km trek. Starting our day with a hearty breakfast, it’s time to start the drive to Sonparyag, and from there to Gauri Kund. Today is the day you’ll see the beautiful view of the shrine where Lord Shiva stays, you’ve been dreaming about.

Visit this beautiful house of prayer, participate in it, get lost in it’s beautiful architecture. Made out of massive grey blocks of stone, the temple for sure is a marvel to look at. Spend some time listening to mythological stories of this holy place and try connecting it’s dots with the Mahabharat epic. Move towards the allotted accommodation as evening falls, and take rest for the day after a delicious dinner.

The next morning marks the return of your journey. Eat your breakfast and don’t miss out on the morning aarti - It’s an essential part of the trip. Now begin your descent towards Gauri Kund the same way you came up. The day was setting when you climbed this way the last time, now the day is rising. Notice the difference between the morning colours and the evening colours reflecting on the mountain - just surreal. Meet your cabs waiting for you in GauriKund and now starts the 30km drive towards Gupt Kashi. You’ll be halting here not the night post some really amazing dinner.

Now, the final leg of the Kedarnath trip - it’s time to get up, have breakfast and settle in for another long drive to Haridwar. That marks the end of the trek.

A beautiful journey has come to an end, but the experience of the kedarnath yatra will stay with you for many lifetimes.

Kedarnath - Haridwar to Haridwar 4D/3N


Day 1: Haridwar to Guptkashi

Drive: 210 km (8-9 hours)

Meals: Breakfast + Dinner

Stay: Stay in a hotel on a sharing basis.

  • Wave hello to the smiling faces of our representatives as you arrive in Haridwar early in the morning. Head to breakfast.
  • Post breakfast the drive starts to Guptkashi where lord Shiva disguised himself as a bull to hide from the Pandavas.
  • On the way to Guptkashi, you’ll pass through Devprayag and Rudraprayag, which offer breathtaking views of the river Alaknanda & Mandakini.
  • Once in Guptkashi, head to ArdhNarishwar Temple and participate in the prayers.
  • Head back to the accommodation, have your meals and retire for the day.


Day 2: Guptkashi – Kedarnath

Drive: 30 km

Trek: 19 km

Meal: Breakfast + Dinner

Stay: Stay in a hotel on a sharing basis.

  • Wake up to hot breakfast.
  • Start your drive to Sonparyag and from there to Gauri Kund.
  • Gaurikund is the start point of the trek, from here the trek ascends to Jungle Chatti and Bheembali.
  • Observe as the terrain changes from Bheembali to Linchauli, and from there to Kedarnath. The flow of cold breeze increases as you move towards Kedarnath.
  • Visit the Kedarnath temple, spend time at the Dham, and in the evening head towards the accommodation.
  • Have your meal and retire for the day.


Day 3: Kedarnath – Guptkashi


Drive: 30 km

Trek: 19 km

Meal: Breakfast + Dinner

Stay: Stay in a hotel on a sharing basis.

  • Wake up and attend the morning aarti, first thing in the morning.
  • Have your breakfast and start your journey to Gauri Kund.
  • Enjoy the descent as the route is the same as day 2, but the timings of the day are different and hence you’ll see the trek in different lighting.
  • Post reaching Gaurikund, meet your cab driver and start your journey back to Guptkashi.
  • Check into your hotel and rest for the day.


Day 4: Guptkashi to Haridwar


Drive: 210 km (8-9 hours)

Meals: Breakfast

  • Wake up, have your breakfast and start your drive back to Haridwar and end this divine journey.

Air: Take a flight to Jolly Grant (Dehradun) airport and from there take a Shared / Private cab or a local bus to reach Haridwar.

Road: Volvo transfers are available from Delhi to Haridwar, It takes around 7 hrs to reach Dehradun from Delhi.

Rail: Haridwar has a railway station so book a train to Haridwar railway station direct and if there in no direct train available from your city then book a train to delhi and from there either you can book another train or take a bus to Haridwar.

  • Any additional cost incurred due to changes in Government Guidelines related to travel/trek/COVID-19 will be borne by the Guest.

1. If cancellations are made 25 days prior to the start date of your trek/tour/activity, no cancellation fee will be charged.

2. If cancellations are made between 4-25 days prior to the start date of your trek/tour/activity, EITHER 75% of the total booking amount will be returned to the guest (25% of the total booking amount will be charged as cancellation fee) OR whole advance amount can be adjusted against any trek within next 12 months.

3. If cancellations are made within 4 days from the start date of your trek/tour/activity, 100% of the total booking amount will be charged as a cancellation fee.

4. If you book the tour/trek/activity by making a partial payment of the total booking amount and fail to make the 100% payment before 30 days from the date of travel. In this case, your booking will get canceled automatically and can only be reconfirmed once you make the full payment, depending on the availability of slots.

5. In case if your tour/trek/activity remains incomplete or uninitiated because of "force majeure", medical emergency, government policy changes, local strikes, or by personal choice after you arrive at the starting point, you will not be able to get a refund, reschedule or replace any services that remain underutilized by you.

6. Cancellations are strictly subjected to cancellation policies mentioned on the website & are irrespective of the date of booking.

7. The applicable refund amount will be processed within 10 business days.
